People from all walks of life find benefit from learning to meditate and practice in daily life. The classes provide practical advice for the problems of modern living, such as:

* Stress, worry, anxiety
* Anger, irritation, frustration
* Attachment, uncontrolled craving, addiction
* Relationship difficulties
* Depression, sadness, low self-esteem
* Confusion about the purpose of life

Through learning to meditate and view situations in a fresh light, we can relax our mind and become a positive person who knows how to find happiness and peace from inside.

The classes introduce basic Buddhist view, meditation and practice of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition of Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa to help practitioners deepen their knowledge and experience of Buddhism.

The Saratoga Springs branch of Kadampa Meditation Center New York is part of an international spiritual community dedicated to achieving world peace through following the Buddhist path. It has arisen from the pure intention and vision of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union.

The classes taught at the Center are suitable for all individuals whatever their level of interest, from those who seek simple relaxation to those who wish to find lasting inner peace and contentment through following the Buddhist path.
